F.T.A. Fire Trucks
Канада
Добавлен 22 мар 2007
I am from the Hawkesbury, ON area.
I have been a fire buff and emergency equipment collector since I was 9 years old, I own a ladder truck (A1-75), a fire engine (P1-77) and a fire chief's car (C1-94).
I volunteered for over 10 years for multiple fire departments as a student, fire photographer and more.
My uploads include what ever is going on in my life, the video's could be related to my trucks, fire service events, emergency lighting videos, restorations...
I upload when I have the content, I try my best but I'm limited by many things like a non existent budget, health and storage issues.

Seagrave Fire Apparatus Company Canada 2009
Photos from the Seagrave fire apparatus plant that was located in Carleton Place Ontario.
The building was previously used by the Almonte fire trucks.
Many fire apparatus and specialty vehicles were built or refurbished here.
I worked here for a few months through a high school co-op program in 2009.

It eventually returned to Techno Feu where it was stripped for parts and likely scrapped.

Manassas Volunteer Fire Company 2013

Home of the popular Tower 501 and Engine 501. I visited the Manassas fire company in 2013 and photographed Tower 501 before it was sadly scrapped. I also got to tour their museum they were building and the video also shows some drawings I made long ago of different Manassas trucks.
Vintage International Fire Truck

I don't remember a ton about this truck. I believe it was an ex- Canadian air force fire truck. Then it served a department near Ottawa, ON. 1940's International Pumper. Last I saw it many years ago, a buddy from high school had purchased it with no immediate plans for it. I got to drive it, yes it ran and drove but didn't have brakes.

Ontario Provincial Police Cars

This video is a compilation of the different Ontario Provincial Police cars and vehicles I've photographed over the years. Many are the older white models while a few are the new (old) black and white scheme. There are many Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors P71's and Chevrolet Impala and Lumina 9C1's. Just to be clear I do not represent the O.P.P. in any way. This is simply a video about ...

Embrun Ontario Pompe 1 Ford C900 Pierre Thibault pumper truck I did own it for a few days but passed it on to the Bytown Fire Brigade after finding out it had more problems than declared. The brigade tried to sell it back to me for a significantly larger some of money years ago and they had not touched it since the day I sold it to them. Its current whereabouts are unknown, the brigade is known...

P1-99

P1-99 was a 1999 Freightliner FL80 Superior fire pumper for the Hawkesbury Ontario Fire Department. I grew up around it and the other Hawkesbury trucks. When it was auctioned, I could not afford it. It was sold to an individual close to Toronto who parted it out and I was told the cab and chassis was converted into an RV. Sad end to a great truck.

Cool 😎 police 🚔 light bar is amazing
Make me cry missed this ladder 1 😢resting in good home!
Well maintained and fully functional would be a little jewel. 💎🚒💎
With the oddest reverse alarm ever...
Yeah, that thing was tired lol.
We used to call international trucks " binders"...75 yr old buff, literally we had international fire trucks in every other fire station in MN 🥶,border to border....my best memories are: extremely depedable in fire service...👍🔥👍
Oh boy ladder one is the oldest fire truck in the fleet what in the world of truck companies that thing is so old
Its been out of service many years now. The end of the video explains that and shows a picture before it was scrapped.
Do you have more footage of this room? I love everything shown from the choice of colors on the walls, down to the equipment displayed.
Some day i'll probably to a walk around of my collection but everything is a bit of a mess right now so it might be a while.
Wow, those drawings are incredible!
Fantastic Sir 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Needs valves adjusted😊😊😊
Probably, among other things. The problem ìs no mechanics in my area work on anything older than 10 years old. If they can't plug a computer into it, they don't want to touch it. I'm learning how to do things myself but it takes time.
Mack builds only the best.
I like these - I had only a couple (some being Tonka, though I had the yellow 36 fire truck secondhand), and I remember playing with some at my relatives houses (my great-grandparents had the red 36 fire truck, and my great uncle had a tiller). I used to be (and still am) impressed at how real these toys both looked and functioned, as well as how tough and ruggedly built they were! Man, how I wish these would come back - Funrise and Tonka still sell trucks, but the newer ones seem rather underwhelming (and cartoonish).
Would any of the smaller or medium sized ones scale with Hess trucks?
The medium ones would come closest I think. I only have 1 Hess truck so I'm not certain what the average size is on them.
Very cool collection 👍 I have a FunRise metro city fire truck that's from 1992. It has the number 36 on it. I also have a Tonka fire engine from 2008. It has a copyright date of 1997 on it, which is probably because the ones that say Metro city on them aren't Tonka vehicles, but the Metro city and Tonka ones both say FunRise on the bottom. I think the Metro city ones came out first then Tonka started to form with them later in the future because they are basically the same vehicles, but the decals are different and some have different phrases but with the same sound effects. I find that interesting. ( My Tonka one is a remake of the original from 2001 or 2000)
Wow incredible collection!!!!!
1:41 The one on the right is from Baby Bach.
One says funrise under it, the other says funrise 2001 hasbro. Would Baby Bach have a logo under it because I can't see that, I've never even heard of Baby Bach before today, is it a manufacture or just a store that sold them?
@@FTAfiretrucks Baby Bach is a Baby Einstein video actually, I believe they got the toy from “The Right Start (Sadly it closed)” when they were making it in 1998, it is in the scene after Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in D Major, BWV 1050, 3rd Movement ends and then the fire truck clip plays.
@@ryanouellette9991 Ah okay, that explains why when I googled it only a show came up, thanks for the info.
@@FTAfiretrucks You're welcome.
Never knew FPM increased with different siren tones. I was always an MX7000 from Code3 guy
Ooo Holley carb? A 4 bbl? Any internal mods??
its a 4 barrel holley brawler, straight off the shelf. The original goverened carb was a pile of garbage and this one was the closest I could find in my budget.
@@FTAfiretrucks Mmmm nice. No longer governed, so the V8 revs higher now, surely?
How do you get them?
Some are from my childhood. Others are from about 15 years of collecting. Garage sales, flea markets, marketplace and ebay.
I didn;t know they made so many. I have maybe 12. If they sold them around I would have more
I have the one at 0:38
Beautiful great V8 engine !!!
Hello Sir. I own a 1981 C900 with the same engine. Pierce fire body. I was interested in doing that diamond plate floor mat like you did in the cab. Could I get an email address for you and check out some pictures of how you went about it. Thank you much.
Nice
Wonder why they got rid of it. Looks like it could last forever.
1:28 - 1:45 oh
They got a couple new admin vehicles in the last couple of years and it basically became surplus.
@@FTAfiretrucks Okay. That’s pretty cool you followed along since 2003. Did they replace it with another minivan or a SUV like a suburban?
@@42luke93 They bought a 2016 dodge ram pickup and a 2014 dodge durango
Is this the Harry and Meghan car chase? 😂
Love her, so many fun memories when I was young being on her.❤
We love you firefighter ❤
Not lapd if there’s no steady burn
Again. I get so many of the same comment. The lightbar was rewired to make it function. I forgot to make the red steady burn. I mentioned it in the description and in 10 other comments just like this. It is a real LAPD!
@@FTAfiretrucks no mention of a steady burn red in your description at all
@@Jsuttar it says "The flash patterns are different since I had to replace the old flasher, but I plan on changing it back to the LAPD patterns." but fine I will change it.
Not LAPD unless it has steady burning red light.
I had to re wire it to get it to work and I hadn't made the red light steady burn by mistake. It is LAPD.
I wrote about it in the description.
I believe that’s a car alarm from the early 70’s
uk twotones better!
Is that backed by an Allison automatic? I notice the lack of a clutch pedal at a glance of the interior.
Allison AT-540 automatic yes
I was there, in person! It was one of the best Fire Truck Musters ever!!! The FDNY Super Pumper from Michigan and so many great examples of American Fire Apparatus Manufactures. All colors possible!!
Nice job. Next time I recommend a drill and polishing compound.
what type of drill attatchment would you recommend using?
@@FTAfiretrucks there are a number of rotary non marking wheels for cordless drills. Check out wheel polishing kits. They work great. I liked the video very much. Turned out great.
Amazing!!
Glad to see you finally got her back home and thank god it wasn't damaged, also happy to see you're still updating and posting bud!
Nice helmets keep up the good work
This type of siren is called a Faraday Type 150. It's basically a rebranded Federal Model A siren.
What happened to the fire department
from what I remember they amalgarated with another department and built a new station
#CarbGang 🔥🔥🔥
Red hot 🔥 very cool 😎
What are your intentions with 94 now that you have it out of storage, and back home ?
It's back in storage, I am looking for parts now, also the frame has a bad spot so I need to come up with a frame or get a garage to take the car down to the frame and send it off to get fixed but I don't have the money. This year my focus is on 77, I have stock pilled parts to hopefully make it to a few shows this year with it. I'm also trying to find a trailer for 94, it would be good to do work without calling a tow truck every time. and could serve as a plan b for 94 if I can't fix the frame.
The Napier Deltic engines were extremely unique even as far as internal combustion engines right up there with W and Corn Cob engines. These engines had very high performance qualities and high power densities but were a nightmare to maintain due to their complexity and limited production run parts availability.
Nice trucks when is the next muster?
Is the truck at the museum in middle town ny
no the super pumper is in a museum in michigan. it was only there for the day.
@@FTAfiretrucks ahh to bad I was looking to make a trip up to see it. I have the code 3 die-cast collection of the that super pumper and it would have been cool to see it in person. Do the guys that own it bring it to NY for the muster every year or was it just that one time?
@@robertnussberger6449 just the one time, I'm not even sure if they hold musters there once a year, it was more of a special event. Im not sure. It usually goes to the frankenmouth muster in michigan though i think.
Awsome clasiic lights!
I have one and I believe it is an Ademco 8 port siren.
I just picked one up. Exactly the same no hi low. I have to get a speaker. I guess this was for fire and ambulance only. Says Pa- 20A. I first heard this in a retired ambulance in a parade. Unique tone compared to new sirens.
Where can I get one of these from?
They build some cheaper versions you can still buy new, I think they stopped making these a long time ago, I found mine at a flea market, maybe check facebook marketplace or ebay.
